Ulcinj
We finally arrived at Ulcinj, the most southerly town on the Montenegrin coast, once a famous and powerful pirate centre whose tradition reaches back many centuries. Just as on every other occasion when we have entered the walls of the old town of Ulcinj
a feeling of nostalgia came over us as we looked at all the views of the old towers,
steps,
windows, houses,
and views of the boundless sea,

The Palace of the Balsic’s (one of the best sites along our coast),
the Ulcinj beaches, ramparts...

We strolled a short way along the beach near the Hotel Albatross,

and with a cheese “burek” 1 made our way back home. We wanted to go to the Long Beach, but decided to leave it for a future travelogue...
