Saturday 7th May at the Hotel Mediteran in Becici, the 2nd Souvenir Fair

This year the organizers of the fair, the NGO Civil Center, Tivat, received 53 applications from would-be exhibitors.

The organizers were surprised at the large number of applications which was significantly higher than expected.

This year's fair was opened by Mr. Zoran Duletic - assistant Minister of Tourism in the Montenegrin government.

There was an opportunity to sample some of the dishes and drinks of Montenegro which are deservedly included in the national treasure of Montenegro. And so 15 food producers had a place at the fair.

This project has finally enabled Montenegro, which is rapidly becoming a popular tourist destination, to have its own easily recognisable souvenirs, which will present the beauty, traditions and history of the country in the right manner.

The organising of what is a unique event here in Montenegro confirms the fact that there is a large number of creative people who are involved in the production of souvenirs, but as yet only for their own amusement. The Souvenir Fair was at the same time an opportunity for signing contracts with retailers who will organise the further presentation and sale of authentic Montenegrin souvenirs.

Montenegro.com through its partnership with the organisers, and its coverage of the events linked to this year's and last year's fairs, has given its full support to this worthy cause and project.

Montenegro.com will in the future continue to cover and support this and similar projects which have as their aim to present the range of goods and services on offer to tourists and the overall economic progress of Montenegro.
