Golesh Shepherd’s Camp
Čobanski Katun Goleš (Goleš Shepherd’s Camp) is at 1600m above sea level and features 5 eco-chalets with two beds each and one eco-chalet with five beds. The Katun is 12km from the village of Trebaljevo and 18km from the centre of Kolašin. The Katun can be reached from the centre of Kolašin via Breze, Radigoino, Trebaljevo
Donji Lumer (from where there is a wonderful view of the Biogradsko Jezero lake and its surroundings) and Goleš.
Marked trails lead in three directions from the Katun – towards the Biogradsko lake, towards Vranjak, and to Crna Glava.
There is a separate hut in which food is prepared by the hostess of the Katun. Among the dishes on offer there is lamb cooked in milk, roast lamb, cicvara (a kind of traditional gruel), popara (bread pudding), priganice (a type of doughnut), home-made kajmak (clotted cream), maize, bread rolls, local cottage cheese, sour milk made of cow and sheep’s milk, home-made blueberry juice, honey and more besides.
Goleš represents an effort towards sustainable development and a positive example of it. All products produced here and available for visitors to enjoy (natural blueberry or elderflower juice, buckwheat dishes, meat and dairy products) are raised under natural conditions.
For hygiene there is an outhouse in the yard shared with the chalets, with two separate shower stalls, separate washbowls and toilets. Warm water is available all day, heated with solar heating panels.
