After a hard day's work we set off for a local trip, but just when we least expected it, the situation suddenly "took matters into its own hands". Your reporters, drawn by the irresistible sight of the Bay of Kotor,
suddenly found themselves in Perast!

Take a look at Perast as you've never seen it before on the Internet!

When we were already half way there we decided to go on to Kotor out of curiosity.
On the way the river Ljuta{note}"Angry"{/note} was obviously angered by the recent rains and was roaring at great speed into the embrace of the sea...

When we had already arrived at the Kotor quay we discussed where to go next, when suddenly

the indefatigable and irrepressible spirit of your reporters came alive.
We decided unanimously to climb to the summit of Lovcen and to visit the Mausoleum.
We got in our car and turned off the main road and slowly,

hairpin after hairpin,

bend after bend,

headed for Lovcen via our beloved Njegusi

and of course through Cetinje ...
We saw a sign saying "Ivanova Korita" and turned off!
Driving slowly as always we drank in all the beautiful sights and riches of the area around Lovcen, lost in wonder at the bright autumn colors.

We saw all sorts of things along the way, from red leaves and trees,

to greener hedgerows.
And then bend after bend,

we rolled on to a place just below the Mausoleum,

left our car at the car park in front of the view point

and set off up the old steps through the tunnel to our final destination.

At last we had reached the top and before our eyes appeared the Mausoleum,

and all around it the whole of our native land!
The Bay of Kotor,

Lake Skadar, Podgorica, Mount Rumija,

Mount Durmitor, Cetinje,

Njegusi

- from that place it seemed that our gaze reached to untold distances, and that from this point unimaginable sights could be seen and experienced...
After gazing for a long while we entered the Mausoleum

and found the Caryatids in the form of mother and daughter in national costume each weighing 7 tonnes,

Njegos's bust in the pose of a thinker,

and then Njegos's tomb.

Due to the strong wind and the threat of bad weather we set out down

to our car by the old route.

We took one last look round,

and then got in our car and headed for Cetinje in order to meet some of ourfriends. That evening we returned home via Njegusi and saw the Bay of Kotor in its evening splendor...
